Warsaw University of Technology Delegation Visits Beijing University of Technology

On December 11th, Grzegorz Robak, Director of the International Office of Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) visited Beijing University of Technology (BJUT). Vice President Guo Fu met with the delegation on behalf of BJUT along with heads of International Office, College of International Education, and Faculty of Information.

Vice President Guo Fu of BJUT extended a warm welcome to Director Gerzelz Robak and the delegates. He gave a brief account of BJUT, its international exchanges and cooperation, and the progress of the Sino-Polish University Consortium (SPUC). He reviewed the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two universities and expressed hope that in the future they would further strengthen their ties under the multilateral framework of the SPUC and pursue pragmatic cooperation and in-depth exchanges in multi-level talent cultivation, research cooperation, teacher exchange, etc.

Director Gerzelz Robak appreciated the warm hospitality of BJUT and gave an overview of WUT. He noted that BJUT and WUT are similar in disciplines and programs, thus laying a strong foundation for further exchange and cooperation. During the visit, he discussed student exchange and summer schools with BJUT and took the bilateral ties to new heights.

After the meeting, Director Gezelz Robak and his colleagues had an in-depth discussion with BJUT International Office on prospective collaborations.

Founded in 1826, WUT is a research university with more than 2,000 professors and lecturers and more than 30,000 students. It is the largest and highest-ranked engineering university in Poland. WUT consists of 20 schools and departments, providing a wide selection of science and engineering programs in architecture, mathematics, physics, communication engineering, biotechnology, robotics, environmental science, applied chemistry, aeronautics and astronautics, etc. Moreover, WUT Business School offers programs in business administration, public administration, and social sciences. In 2018, WUT ranked number three among Polish comprehensive universities and number one among engineering ones.
